Helping You make sense of life through a Christian lens

Hello, I'm Drew Coster

Thanks for taking the time to come to this website. I hope you gain something from being here.

For me, this ministry of FCA Apologetics ties into my passion for helping all people—especially young people—make sense of life through the lens of Christianity.

I am currently a Doctor of Ministry candidate at Liberty University, studying theology and apologetics. I also hold a Master of Divinity from Liberty University with a focus in Christian apologetics.

Before moving deeper into ministry and theological work, I spent more than twenty years as a psychotherapist, with a master’s degree in Rational Emotive and Cognitive Behavior Therapy and a degree in Gestalt Therapy. What this taught me is that everybody struggles at some point in their lives. And although there maybe many pathways through, only one offers true hope and purpose—thanks to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Over the years, I have worked in a wide range of settings, including a psychiatric hospital, a college, a rape and sexual abuse center, and private practice. That background deeply shapes the way I think about faith, people, questions, pain, identity, and truth. I believe Christianity is not just a set of beliefs to defend, but a way of seeing the world clearly and living faithfully within it.

Having played high school rugby, soccer, and cricket in England, I also understand the joy and pressure of competitive sports. Competition can help us rise to the occasion, but it can also tempt us to lose sight of what matters most. At its best, sport teaches us to encourage our teammates, respect our opponents, and recognize that the people who challenge us often help us become better athletes and better people.

I currently serve as an Executive Board member for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in Williamson County, Texas, where I help support the local director through counsel, encouragement, and, when possible, teaching. My desire is to help young people navigate the world as thoughtful, considerate, and courageous Christians who can ask honest questions, think deeply, and follow Jesus with confidence.

At the heart of everything I do is a simple conviction: the truths of Scripture do not make life smaller. They make life make sense.
